The Diamela family (DIAMELAS ATHANASIOS), owning butcher shops for three generations (the last one in Pylaia- Thessaloniki), has associated its name with good meat sales and the concept of a butcher shop with quality guarantees, which have established it in the consumer’s consciousness as: good meat, good service and good prices.

Thanasis (Sakis) Diamelas, a third-generation butcher, is the one who is currently behind the wheel of the business. Even now, he looks back with nostalgia to the years when he was a child and he first saw his grandfather and later his father opening the butcher shop and serving the small community of Drymos village in Thessaloniki, as well as, the surrounding villages.

The aim of the company is to emphasize and cooperate with Greek farmers, trusting or having faith / believing in the dynamics of local Greek meat that anyone can find in the butcher’s store. The collaboration with these producers became exclusive over the years, with great benefits for both sides. They supply high quality Greek meat and the company honors consumers trust in every way. Next to the Greek meat products you will find a modern meat aging room, in which you can mainly see carcasses of calves in various cuts being aged for 30, 40, or 50 days, which is a process that gives complexity and flavor maturity to the meat.

At the same time, the Diamela butcher shop has a smokehouse, where they smoke their own sausages and, of course, carry out plenty of taste experiments; all products of their own inspiration, draw elements from tradition and combine them with more modern elements.
